FBI Arrests Virginia Man in 2021 D.C. Pipe Bomb Case
A man from northern Virginia has been arrested in connection with the 2021 pipe bomb incident outside both national party headquarters on the eve of the Capitol riot, bringing a breakthrough in a yearslong federal investigation.
Federal authorities on Thursday identified the suspect as Brian Cole Jr., a 30-year-old resident of Woodbridge, Virginia. Attorney General Pam Bondi announced the arrest at a press conference, stating that Cole is accused of placing two explosive devices near the Democratic National Committee and Republican National Committee offices the night before the January 6 Capitol attack.
