WATCH: Man Thrown From City Council Meeting After Calling Mamdani an "Antisemite"

A chaotic moment unfolded inside a New York City Council meeting after an activist was removed from the chamber for verbally attacking State Assembly member Zohran Mamdani.

The outburst began when the man stood up during public comment and shouted, “Dr. King stood with Israel and you stand with an antisemite. Fuck Palestine.” He then accused Mamdani, who has been the target of criticism over his outspoken pro-Palestinian positions - being an “antisemite,” drawing immediate pushback from the room.

Council members called the tirade “grotesque” as security approached. The man was asked to leave and escorted out without further incident.

The meeting resumed moments later, but the clip has since circulated widely as yet another flashpoint in New York’s intensifying political battles over Israel, Palestine, and who gets to define the boundaries of acceptable speech in public forums.
